It is used to describe non-heterosexual and non-cis-gendered individuals. This might be a normal thing for us but people who are facing it know how it feels, they are being judged and bullied based on their sexual orientation. People see them from a very different perspective like they are not human as well as are not accepted in society due to this they have to face many challenges such as Mental Health problems, self-harm, and suicide. Law's Influence on Society and Vice Versa!

INTRODUCTION The sociological approach to law aims to understand how society and its members shape the law and vice versa. This field has opened new views in legal theory and practice. Traditionally, legal theory and practice may have focused solely on how laws are made, interpreted, and applied. The Sociology of Law recognizes the need to understand the relation between law and society. It analyses the relationship between law and social control, as well as its role in promoting or hindering social change. In this blog, we will take a close look at how sociology helps us understand how law and society are connected. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LAW & SOCIOLOGY In earlier times all the rules and regulations came from the customs we followed. As society changed, rulers appeared. They created laws according to their wishes and for their own benefit, governing people accordingly. As society evolved further, two important things became clear: individual interests and the welfare of socie...

Evolution and Legalization of Surrogacy In India

What is there inside an Observation Home?🤔

BASIC FORMALITIES At the entry gate of the observation home, we had to sign in to confirm our presence. Photography was prohibited and punishable, so we refrained from taking pictures there. INSIDE REALITY We observed the rooms designated for juveniles. The rooms, with their beds, appeared staged, as if prepared for our visit, giving the impression that everything was in order. The curtains seemed recently hung. Each room accommodated 8-10 beds, with two rooms designated for sleeping. Children aged 7 to 18 who have violated laws are placed in an observation home. The children are categorized into three age groups: 7 to 12, 12 to 16, and 16 to 18. However, those aged 16 to 18 who have committed heinous crimes can also be placed directly into a 'place of safety,' an organization nearby. These children, referred to as 'children in conflict with the law' or 'juveniles in conflict with the law,' are not labeled as criminals or offenders. They are presented before ...
